CHAIR

Erin is an educator, activist, and party leader. As the Area Leader of one of the largest areas in Montco (Springfield, Cheltenham, and Jenkintown) and Municipal Chair, Erin has revitalized the local parties, recruiting and filling committee person positions, campaigning for candidates, and coordinating the party’s campaign office in Glenside. Springfield Township Dems consistently have one the highest voter turnout rates in the entire county. Prior to leading her local party, she helped found her local Indivisible group, and she attended the national Indivisible conference in 2019.

In collaboration with many others, Erin led the charge for changes to MCDC’s candidate endorsement process, forming and serving on the Endorsement Review Committee, in order to increase trust and unify the party.

Professionally, Erin is an expert qualitative researcher. She has led numerous evaluations of large-scale initiatives using implementation science approaches to gather and understand stakeholder feedback about barriers and facilitators to implementing complex and equity-driven efforts.

Erin began her career in the New York City public schools, teaching middle and high school English in the South Bronx. Her first taste of activism and grassroots organizing was through her involvement with the teacher’s union.

She holds a BA in English from the University of Rochester, an MA in English Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a PhD in Urban Education from Temple University. Erin has lived in Montgomery County since 2009. She lives in Springfield Township with her three children.

VICE CHAIR

Emilio Buitrago is a longtime community leader and advocate with more than 25 years of experience supporting immigrant families and strengthening Latino civic participation across Pennsylvania. He served as Commissioner on the Governor’s Advisory Commission on Latino Affairs from 2020 to 2025 and currently serves on the Montgomery County Advisory Council for the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission.

Emilio is the Co-Founder of Casa de Venezuela Philadelphia, where he has helped expand programs focused on immigrant integration, cultural preservation, and access to resources. Through his work in public service and community leadership, he is committed to creating spaces where residents can engage in open, respectful conversations about immigration, rights, and opportunity.

He has served on State Committee (as a Delco delegate) and the DNC. Professionally, Emilio is an engineer and renewable energy professional, managing multimillion-dollar portfolios.

VICE CHAIR

Tyrone Robinson is the first Black Commissioner in Upper West Pottsgrove, and a longtime committee person. He also served on MCDC’s Endorsement Review Committee.

After graduating from Millersville University in 1973, Tyrone became an industrial electrician, and was a member of the United Steelworkers of America for decades. In addition to his other duties, he also served on a board that reviewed employee applications.

Tyrone values listening and connecting with people, and brings a thoughtful approach to decision-making. He lives in Upper Pottsgrove with this wife. They have 6 adult children, 15 grandchildren, and one more on the way.

RECORDING SECRETARY

Jenn Foster serves as Chair of the Towamencin Democratic Association, where, alongside her committee people and other volunteers, she helped rebuild the municipal party’s infrastructure and flip control of the Board of Supervisors last year. Through disciplined grassroots organizing, clear messaging, and consistent voter engagement, she led a focused effort in a township that had long leaned Republican and delivered a win. As Chair, Jenn recruited and mobilized new volunteers, filled committee vacancies, strengthened candidate support, and raised money to fund local efforts.

Professionally, Jenn brings more than 20 years of executive leadership experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets and high-stakes client relationships. She applies that same operational discipline and accountability to political work: build the structure, fund the effort, support candidates, and win.

TREASURER

A dedicated working mother and committed community leader, Carrie Givhan brings deep experience in implementing inclusive strategies and achieving results through collaboration across diverse workgroups. Carrie is a committee person has served as Co-Area 7 Leader and on MCDC’s Endorsement Review Committee. She looks forward to leveraging her experience to further strengthen MCDC for everyone.

With a strong record of public service, Carrie has volunteered with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office Youth Aid Panel Program and Huntingdon Valley Library’s Strategic Planning Committee. She also has a longstanding history of advocacy, including work supporting older adults at the Center for Advocacy for the Rights and Interests of the Elderly (CARIE), and early-career experience assisting at-risk youth in the nonprofit sector.

Professionally, Carrie is the Senior Program Manager, Cultural Strategy at SEPTA, where she leads initiatives that strengthen organizational culture, belonging, and inclusive practices across the Authority. Carrie specializes in fostering collaboration—both within her workplace and throughout her community—to support meaningful engagement and positive cultural impact.

Carrie is the current President of the COMTO Philadelphia Chapter and a past COMTO Philadelphia Secretary. COMTO is a national organization with a mission to ensure transportation serves all. She previously served as the inaugural President of SEPTA’s Culture and Belonging Council.

FINANCE CHAIR

Nancy Kleinberg is a powerhouse fundraiser for Democratic candidates she believes in, raising over one million dollars since 2016. Her fundraiser to retain PA Supreme Court Justices raised over $125K in one evening. She serves as finance director for State Rep Jenn O’Mara, helping her flip a Republican district in 2018.

In 2017, Nancy founded Indivisible Narberth and Beyond, served on the Advisory Board of Turn PA Blue and the financial board of the New Pennsylvania Project, an organization that registers and activates unengaged voters. Currently Nancy serves as the Vice Chair of the Democratic Committee of Lower Merion and Narberth.

Early in her career, Nancy was a Philadelphia public schoolteacher and then the owner and administrator of a skilled care nursing home facility.

She lives in Lower Merion, as do her three children and all of her grandchildren, which is why she’s in this fight.

CAMPAIGN MANAGER

Zachary Davis is a passionate community volunteer, scientist, and environmental activist. Zach has lived in Montgomery County as a resident of Upper Merion for 10 years. A lifelong Democrat, he has been a dedicated party member and volunteer in Upper Merion since 2016. Zach has been a Democratic Committee person for 4 years and currently serves as the Area 12 Representative.

Having served as the Chair of the Upper Merion Environmental Advisory Council for the past 7 years, he has consistently fought for a better, safer, more sustainable community for all residents. His leadership on the EAC and commitment to renewable energy initiatives demonstrate his dedication to environmental progress and a better tomorrow.

Professionally, Zach is a scientist who brings experience from Gilead Sciences, Merck, and GlaxoSmithKline. Specifically, he has done research and work to ensure vaccines and medicines for under-researched diseases help as many patients as possible. Zach is a proud graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
